I wasn’t able to arrange an instructor this month. This meeting is ran by Belpre PD and is free and open to the public. The topic is Emergency Communication and is taught by Dana Fouss. This is an important topic. I’ll be in attendance. Belpre is being proactive and would serve as a good model for other communities.

Instructor Bio:
SSG James Heldman has multiple combat tours to both Iraq and Afghanistan. Jimmy has spent time filling all roles of an Infantryman from a Machine Gunner, a SDM, Scout, Team Leader, Reconnaissance section SGT and Squad Leader. He specialized in small unit tactics and small arms and has conducted training with and for foreign militaries. Jim has won multiple rifle competitions and holds the Camp Perry 2018 combat rifle and combat pistol first place titles.

This monthly net is an opportunity to practice our ability to communicate during an emergency or grid down situation, when standard means of communication aren’t available.
You’ll need a GMRS license to transmit. The license is $35 dollars and does not require any kind of testing. You don’t need a license to listen and one license is good for your whole family.
Max Barker is a great source for radios if you don’t have one. He will also program the radios. Ben Sargent will run the net.
