Homesteading In Town and The Country

You’ll Learn:
In this class you will learn about how to grow and raise your own food whether you live in town on in the country. And you will learn it from someone who has been there and done that. Our instructor is also an outstanding teacher that makes the learning fun.
Our instructor this month will be Jennifer McHenry, APRN, FNP-C.
Jennifer’s background as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Family Nurse Practitioner, Nutritionist, and Master Gardener have given her the knowledge to help others prepare for many different scenarios. As a Master Gardener she specializes in backyard food production and has her own small homestead where she raise and grows her own food sources.

Self Defense Fundamentals

You’ll Learn:
In this class you will learn about use of force tools, mindset, intuition, self defense concepts and how a smaller person can survive an attack from a larger opponent. This is a hands on class so wear comfortable clothes you can move in. This class is for adults but teenagers accompanied by adults are welcome. This class is appropriate for people of various physical abilities. If you have health concerns or physical limitations, you can participate to the level you are comfortable.

GMRS Network Radio Net – The 1st & 3rd Sunday of Every Month at 8:00pm Eastern.

Local Repeater – attend a meeting for details
This monthly net is an opportunity to practice our ability to communicate during an emergency or grid down situation, when standard means of communication aren’t available.
You’ll need a GMRS license to transmit. The license is $35 dollars and does not require any kind of testing. You don’t need a license to listen and one license is good for your whole family.
Max Barker is a great source for radios if you don’t have one. He will also program the radios. Ben Sargent will run the net.
